Your new log home may begin with a simple sketch on paper or in you head, or you may have a design from a catalog that is near what you want. The initial steps of planning to the delivery of your log home on your site are not as complicated as you might think. 

Follow the steps below and see how you can design your log home dream. 

Step 1

We will meet with you as often as necessary until the design is just the way you want it. Don't worry, there will be many opportunities to make changes along the way. Step 2

When you are satisfied with the design, we will submit it to our Estimating Department for a price estimate. This will take about 1 week.

 

Step 3

When the price estimate arrives, we will go over it with you in detail so you know exactly what is in the package.

If you wish, at this time you can make changes and adjust the design of the log home or contents of the package. We do this as many times as necessary to refine the plan. Each new estimate will take about 1 week.

 

Step 4

When the design is exactly the way you want it, we will ask that you make a $1,000.00 deposit. This deposit will be subtracted from the total cost of the estimate. Then the Drafting Department will start drawing preliminary blueprints of your log home. This will take approximately 4 weeks.

When the preliminary blueprints arrive, we will go over them with you in great detail. You can still make changes at this point if you wish.

If you have decided on significant changes, Kuhns Bros. will draw a second set of preliminary blueprints showing your changes. This will take about 3-4 weeks more. If the changes are minor, you can skip the second set of blueprints.

 

Step 5

You will then sign the blueprints indicating that this is the log home you want. At this point we will ask you to place a 20% deposit and your project will be put in line for manufacturing. Delivery will take approximately 8-10 weeks depending on the time of year.

 

Step 6

Delivery day! Your dream log home is about to become a reality! A certified check for the remaining amount will be due before the trucks are unloaded.

** Remember, in addition to the time we will spend with you to help design your log home, we provide a minimum of 40 hours on-site technical assistance to make sure that all goes well with your project.
